How do a attach a aword document to an e-mail?

I'm trying to attach a word document to send to a friend, but when I depreess "Attach" nothing happens.

What email client are you using?

Usually you click on the hairpin. A box comes up with all your saved documents. Click the document. Click open. The title tags appear in the footer of the email. Click send.
