    Many times for me I just go with my gut feeling. Most of the time I'm right, but on occasion people fool me, not very often anymore.
    Again like the others say there is always a change in body language.One of my sons tends to gulp a lot when he lies and the other one goes a bit red in the face and shifts around . In most cases if they get outrageously defensive it can be a sign. A lot of the time you just know.
    It's hard to tell, but, here's one way of knowing, if they can't look into your eyes.
    If you already know the person it sometimes is when their lips are moving.
    IF the person is a politician, when their lips are moving
    THEIR LIPS ARE MOVING
