I have two guinea pigs whom I adore. Sometimes I let them run around on the lawn, under my supervision, because they desperately need exercise and because I love to see them happy and "in their element" lol. But it's also stressful for me because I'm constantly looking up at the sky and trees to make sure there are no hawks around. Although I have never seen one around here, neighbors have told me that one has passed  through and grabbed a squirrel on his way out.  Will hawks hunt an animal in close proximity to a human? Am I crazy for taking such a chance?
