Hard water was a real problem for me all the pipes in my house used to get eroded i had to change them very often and the water used to taste funny.Using Nuvo H2O did solve the problem the water now taste fine and i dont need to change the pipes as often Nuvo H2O  is pretty good but you have to keep on changing the cartridges which is real pain. I did  research on it and found out that Nuvo H2O  works by breaking the bonds of scale molecules in water and hence prevents buildups.
