He's not mature enough or committed enough to say NO to temptation. There has to be Love and Respect before the relationship between him and you will work. He has neither. If he can't take responsibility for his own actions that night how can he take responsibility for a child!?! A child is for the next 18 years! Yes once a cheater, always a cheater.
Unfortunately I doubt he will change for a long long time. He is doing what he wants to do with no regard for you or his child. I was with a man who did this same thing and he is still doing it at the age of 49. Only now he is causing someone else the heartache. I HAD to get out of that relationship.
