Respect yourself and that you have the power to control your own life and dont give them the satisfaction of knowing that they have a hold over you and secrets that you hold. SO, no. Noone is your best friend and remember that. People argue. People have falling outs. If that happens between you two, your secrets can be a secret one day and publicised another. If he's your best friend, then you two are gonna be really close already, so you should feel comfortable with him... so you have to just talk to him about who he likes and see if you can get your other friends to ask him who he likes too! screw ure boyfriend, hes not worth it if you really like someone else! :')
