how do you find the common denominator difference between 6/25 - 4/5
Answers: 2 Views: 824 Rating: 0 Posted: 12 years ago

the common denominator must be divisible by both denominators.  In this case it is 25. Now, convert both fractions into the common denominators value. 4/5 is equal to 20/25 (multiply both numerator and denominator by 5 to convert)  Now do the subtraction of the numerators ( 6 - 20)/25 = -14/25 ANS
