i have a bmw745lxi and need to replace the driver side mirror. Dealer says >$1000 repair - ugh. Any suggestions on how to do for less?

try ringing around the wreckers ,if you find one buy it,and and get a mechanic to fit it.probably only cost an hours labour ,plus what ever the wreckers charged.also worth pricing a new part from a BMW dealer.
