You have to torque a nut to 550 ft lbs. Using a 3ft toque wrench the torque wrench maximum setting is 500 ft lbs. You have a 6 inch extension available. What should be the setting on the torque wrench?

The length of the torque wrench will not change the setting of the tool. the max you will get is 500 FtLb. It will just make it easier to get there.
