It takes 8 minutes for a photon of light to get from the surface of the sun to your eye but what is much more incredible is it can take from between 100,000 years to 1,000,00 years for a photon of light to get from the sun's core to it's surface.Mad,eh !!!!
It sounds like the old Viking/Saxon belief that if you die in battle with a sword in your hand there'll be a place in Valhalla for you where you,wine,women n song in the feasting hall forever more.Except.Their belief was about honour,bravery,loyalty whereas i fail to see whats honourable about blowing up innocent civillians.Also when you so indoctrinated you believe killing unsuspecting innocents is honourable theres little bravery involved.I thought they got 40 virgins well you gotta really sweeten the deal somehow to get these dafties to do it.

NO,NO,NO !!!!.Men are usually physically stronger and more aggressive than women.I was brought up to believe that men don't hit women full stop end of story no matter what the provacation.I've been put to the test twice.First time was when I was having a really bitter and personal arguement with my gf of 4 years.She knew exactly what buttons to push n how to cut right to the bone.It didnt help that I'd polished off a bottle of red wine n round 8 beers at the time !!!! At the height of the row she got me so furious I lashed out.She was shouting in my face but I turned round 180 degrees and punched the wall.Now I shouldnt have done it but it proved that even when raging I meant what I've always said,I won't hit a woman.Course she told her mother who said was only matter of time before I hit her but 20 years on thats closet I've come.Another woman punched and kicked me i walked away.You don't hit women.Full stop,end of story !!!!

Ah see the its largely anecdotal about more births,deaths and crime during the full moon,for every cop or A&E doctor that says it has an effect you'll find another who says it's a myth.Same with statistics as you'll plenty to illustrate either view point. Also I know the fact of the moons effect on the tides plus the fact we're 70% water seems conclusive but try this out.Fill a bucket full of water and try to observe any effect at all exerted by the moons gravity bet theres no measurable effect of any kind.The oceans are free standing water of immense volume plus remember tides are also an effect of the earths rotation not just lunar gravity.The water in our bodies is contained and so small that the moon has no real effect whatsoever.Do you feel an actual change within you at all due to the phases of the moon?? It may have a phsycological effect on some but that's more due to the widely accepted myth than a real gravitational effect
Unfortunetly there are times when wars are inevitable.There are countries or political systems that are incapable of living peacefully with their neighbours.Even though peace talks may initially avert war often it only postpones the inevitable.Look how our attitude has changed in the last 100 years.Europe at the beginning of the 20th century was a war looking for a half decent excuse to kick off.When Princip shot Franz Ferdinand he surely couldnt have anticipated the consequences but all the main countries hardly tried to avoid war,scenes of sheer jubilation from each capital seem crazy in hindsight.In '38 Hitler appeased to avoid war.He was motivated by revenge for 1918 and deep hatred for communism,war couldnt be avoided.We now see war as a final resort but some leaders can't compromise like Gadaffi.It's the likes of North Korea and Iran we need to make the effort with as war with them would be a catastrophe

I doubt anyone would be on this site with the express intention of finding love as there's countless dedicated dating,relationship or hook up sites for that but you never know there may well be a few.In my experience if you go looking for love you never find it,it finds you when you arent thinking about it or seeking it.I know I've been told many,many times on here about god's love but thats not the same.lol
Uh huh,excuse me US takes the lead n we follow.Funny cos I remember David Cameron being the first to support the Libyan peoples call for change.First to call for a no fly zone and a UN mandate while the French recognised the rebels as legitimate way before anyone.Obama has said the right things but the impetous for action was with Europe this time.The initial airstrikes were by the French as the RAF Tornado's come in at tree top level bombing with true precision but exposed to a strong air defence system.US carriers,i believe and Royal Navy submarines both launched cruise missiles but the US,understandably is taking a back seat.What annoyed me were US anaylists saying the American people are weary of their troops coming home in bodybags which is part of the reason.Well we have a constant stream of soldiers being killed in Afghanistan aswell yet Americans seem to believe they are the only ones actually fighting.
What would I be??,good question.It'd have to be an everymans car.I'm a working class wi no pretentions so speed freak i may be a Ferrari,Porsche etc is not me.No point changing the habit of a lifetime so it's gonna be a Vauxhall/Opel (GM to you transatlantics.lol) or a Ford.I'm a compulsive modder/tuner and a speed freak/adrenaline junkie so it has to be a motorsport inspired model and the engines very important,it has to be highly responsive,loves to rev n bags of torque from low down.Ok i'd be either a Ford Escort RS1600i the solid tappets,twin coils n cam transformed the CVH.Vauxhall Cavalier GSI/SRi16v redtop.That's why the XE engine was designed by Cosworth for saloon car racing and is the finest N/A twin cam 16 valve of all time.Or a Ford Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth RWD.I love RWD most of all n the cossie YBB in that chassis is perferction.
