firefox kFirefox keeps asking me to updateFirefox often asks for changes but when I click to download them the never get fully installrd. How do I correct for missing many suggested updates?

I am using a MacBookPro with operating system OSX. Firefox often tells me I should install overdue impovements to it's programs. When I try to do so they say they are downloading but they never get installed. What Can I do?
