I said it before and I'll say it again. Freedom of Speech means freedom for everyone. Just because you disagree doesn't mean one side should be censored. Good and Evil are determined by perspective.

Exactly. They could have put anything in that book and christians would be forced to take it as truth as long as there were some good morals mixed in. They had to keep the baby and the bathwater. Hey, I'm writing a book. What if I started threatening my readers unless they took my fiction for truth? As long as it changed their lives, who cares right? You DO have FAITH right?

That was a nice rant, and it would be nice to have blind faith in a fantasy book. People do it all the time with comic books and graphic novels. It's not the reality of the stories that inspire us, whether they are from the bible or from x-men. Its the morals and issues that they cover that matter. I have reverence for a good story, no matter where it comes from, but I do take offense when that ideal is lumped in with an ultimatum or a threat.
I hated being bullied and ostracized in school. The best thing I can think of is to form a strong posse that protects one another. I'll bet that works in jail too.
Its dangerous, but sometimes its necessary. What would you do if you broke down on the highway with no cellphone? Especially when its snowing or worse? Maybe its over 20 miles to the next town?
I don't see that as a problem. Some people would call you a "cougar", though the age difference for that might be a bit larger.
