I'm guessing you're talking about your network connection icon at the bottom of the screen. And I'm guessing you're running XP. Click on Start and go to Control Panel Click on Network connections and right click on your network adapter Select properties At the bottom of the screen are 2 boxes - one is Show icon when connected, check it Click on OK You should have your computers back.

usually there's an e-mail link at the bottom of a spam mail. Just send them an e-mail and ask to be removed. However, you might want to think about it first. If you respond, you're flagged as an active account - and people trade e-mail lists. It might be better to add the domain to a black list in your e-mail client and just ignore them.....

The Micro$oft program that does backups is ntbackup.exe Click on Start, then click on Run. In the command box, type in ntbackup.exe and press enter. If the program is not there, you can download it from Micro$oft.

Nothing worse than unrequited love, eh? Tell her how you feel - make sure she understands that you want a relationship that is more than just friends and you need to know how she feels about it - make sure it's a no holds bared conversation. She needs to understand your position, and you need to understand hers. If she doesn't want that kind of relationship with you, then you can either live in the hope she changes her mind (not good IMHO), walk away, or move on with her as just a friend. Personally - if she doesn't like your position, walk. There's no reason to make yourself miserable when there so much else to do in ones life.

There is no such thing as a stupid question Questions are asked in order to gain knowledge about an item. Of course, asking something like "How much does a fart weigh" might be considered an ignorant thing, the person asking might be in a chemistry class and they're studying methane, and they may not be too computer literate.
