How do I figure out how many miles per gal my car gets

Fill your tank, record your odometer reading, then at your next fill up, record the gallons of gas used. Record odometer reading again then subtract previous odometer reading to get miles traveled.Take your gallons used and divide that number into the miles traveled. You then have your mileage for that tankful.

I discovered what appears to be a burrow near the foundation of my home, which is built on a slab. Upon investigating there only appears to be one tunnel approximately 3". I poked in and it appears to only be a few inches in length. There is no mound of dirt surrounding it, however, there is a depression sort of what a clay pot would make. I have absolutley no idea what, if anything, to do

My first guess would be an armadillo, depending on your location. For now I would fill it in and keep an eye out in the yard for more. Armadillos are usually more of a nuisance than anything else.
