In the wake of the 2022 steel versions with their stylish bezels featuring the striated pattern of a motorcycle tire, Tissot is presenting a new interpretation of its sporty chronograph in MotoGP colors to link mark the start of link the link season.

The sibling to SBGZ005 is housed in a marginally larger case; SBGW260 is 38mm in diameter (I would say that I link defy anyone to tell the difference link with the two watches in hand, but I bet there are enthusiasts out there who could do it). While SBGZ005 uses a top-of-the-line hand-wound Spring Drive movement, SBGW260 link uses the mechanical, hand-wound caliber 9S64.

Battery life is a reported three years and Brew has opted to omit the 24-hour dial that is common to these movements (a great choice, in my eyes). The link buttons are snappy and certainly feel mechanical and I think the grab-and-go nature of a quartz movement is perfect for a watch like the Metric, as it can sit quietly link on your desk until you’re in link need of the horological equivalent of a sugar rush.

If you can handle the size, it's hard to beat the IWC Automatic Spitfire. The watch's sub-$5,000 price point means link it's relatively attainable if you can be patient saving your dough. It's a watch made with real integrity, and one that will impress just about anybody, whether they're link luxury snobs or salt-of-the-earth. Outside of Tudor and Omega, you won't find many in-house tool watches that bring this link much value and quality to the table.

In addition to Jay, we saw SpringHill CEO Maverick Carter, who wore a Royal Oak Concept with link a purple rubber strap. Although we only noticed one tight link shot of it from the side, the strap and some distinctive markings on its case give it away as link almost certainly being the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Black Panther Flying Tourbillon. The Marvel-inspired watch, you'll recall, launched back in April as a 250-piece limited edition priced at CHF 150,000.

Continuing link their link push into link advanced composites, Panerai has just announced a classic 44mm Luminor Marina with a case made of a specialized material derived from mineral basalt fibers. Yet another project from the brand's Skunk Works-like Laboratorio di Idee, the PAM01663 Luminor Marina Fibratech 44mm takes one of the most classic and well-known shapes in watches and renders the case in this special new material, which has never before been used in watchmaking.
