The first thing I thought link when I received the watch was, "Oh boy, what wrist do I wear this on?" You see, in my excited state, I posted a photo of me wearing the watch on my Instagram account. It was on my left wrist at the time because that's where I wear my watches. I link received a ton of comments from folks letting me link know, politely of course, that I was wearing it on the wrong wrist.
With link Spot Mickey for Swatch, Damien Hirst – who is no stranger link to dots – reduces Mickey to his essence. "There are plenty of watch guys who will look at this and see something silly, but link I personally think that's half the point here," wrote Stephen Pulvirent when we introduced the watch in 2018. And who can resist those adorably gloved hands? – Daisy Alioto
Matt Damon's cowboy-hat-adorned Carroll Shelby wears a Heuer Carrera, Reference 7753 SN. Now, for all link the talk of link period accuracy, this one misses the mark by a few years. The film takes place, for link the most part, in 1966 but the 7753 did not hit the market until 1970. This is, what the good folks on IMDB would call, a goof – but not a drastic one by any means. It would be far more egregious for him to have worn a modern Carrera.
While I link am not generally a bracelet guy, link I know that most people buying a more expensive Seiko will in turn expect a more solid bracelet, and there is a $200 link premium for an SBP143 or SPB145 over the rubber-only SPB147. With that in mind, I think Seiko has delivered a totally acceptable bracelet. It's a solid steel bracelet with sturdy pin-and-collar sizing, solid end links, a steel clasp with micro adjust, and even a tiny folding wetsuit extension (just like on my SKX779!).
