I think men make great parents, whether they are alone or with a wife! As for your specific wording (men as single mom), I wonder if you may be referring to a couple of things, all of which are important: first, tasks that a mother would usually do, and second the importance of a female figure in a child's life. As the sole parent, you can take care of both of these issues. You can do all the things that are normally assigned to a woman, with the exceptions of giving birth and breast feeding. Assuming you have ended up a single parent by choice or by circumstance, it does not matter whether or not you have actually given birth to the child, as long as you have unconditional love and joy in the child. You do not need to breast feed because bottles are a perfectly acceptable way of feeding an infant. You can do all the parenting tasks that a woman can. The child needs the influence of both good men and good women in his or her life. So, if you have no female spouse, maybe you have a good female friend that can serve as a constant figure in the child's life. I don't know that there is any reason to pin blame on anyone. The fact that a man is a single parent can come about by many reasons. The important thing is to focus on the well being of the child, and to do the best you can do for that child. The child did not ask to be a single parent child, and the child will not regret that he or she has only one parent, as long as you do not make it an issue. So, parent on! Take joy in the little life that is yours to nurture. I wish you luck and happiness.

Why is saturnalia associated with Valentines day?
Answers: 2 Views: 1704 Rating: 0 Posted: 13 years ago

Saturnalia was first held in Rome around 200 b.c. after the Carthaginians defeated the Romans in battle, and it was held in December. The god being appeased was Saturn or Cronus, the god attributed with control over time. The Saturnalia originally included an animal sacrifice. Romans would dress in more elaborate clothing, and slaves were allowed for this period of time to treat their masters with pretend disdain. It is only after much more time that Saturnalia morphed into something somewhat similar to Valentine's day, and the reason for the correlation has to do with what Vampira mentions above.

animal holes

This depends on where you live. For instance, here in Texas, I would start out with the possibility of an armadillo, a rabbit, or even a rattlesnake. We have lots of such holes on our ranch, and these are the things I have seen from holes like the one you describe.

If you are good at writing, perhaps you can find your niche with a magazine, or devote time to writing your first novel. It can't hurt to explore the ways of taking what you love, and trying to make those things work as a source of income. Some people have chosen to open a day-care facility, or a welding business, whatever really makes them happy.

Making a living is difficult these days without a support network, and the ability to network, market, grow your business. Those are hard things to do from home. But you can offset that obstacle by reaching out on the internet for resources, groups, etc...

pain behind my ear in my skull
Answers: 8 Views: 3771 Rating: 0 Posted: 13 years ago

This is something that should be evaluated by a doctor, without question. Although it may be a migraine, or a mastoid, or any number of things, the symptoms are ones that need attention soon. It is always good policy to see a doctor if you have symptoms that go beyond the normal cold, aches or pains. You have mentioned difficulty with balance, and with a quick onset of pain. These two things alone warrant evaluation. Even if you go to the ER, and are told that it is a migraine, your mind will be at ease (even if your wallet is a bit more empty)!

Honestly, while I only know a handful of Iranian people (and I like each one of them), I don't like to generalize. I will tell you that I love all people in general; the world would be a very boring place indeed if everyone were just like me.

can a man be in love with 2 women?
Answers: 21 Views: 3233 Rating: 2 Posted: 13 years ago

Yes, he can be in love with two women or ten women. But, then, define love. Is it a physical love which is actually lust? Or is it a soulmate love? It can be many things. I think the question is really "Do you want to be with a man who loves you and another woman?" If you don't mind him loving another woman, then don't worry. If you want him exclusively, then you are headed down a path that will lead to heartbreak.

Google "adoption" and "whatever state or province, country, you live in". Follow the rabbit trail that way. Call those sources you think look promising. Keep digging until you find the one source you feel you can rely upon.

Keeping Bread Fresh

Freezing it will prolong it, but for you, that is just another form of refrigeration, perhaps. Keeping it in an airtight container may help, since it will slow down the decomposition of the bread. Consider using one of those plastic bag devices that employ a suction device to remove all air from the package. Our grocery stores carry these devices.

how many colors?
Answers: 1 Views: 1600 Rating: 0 Posted: 13 years ago

I am not sure what you mean when you ask if Adam has as many colors. Do you mean, "Were there as many colors for Adam as there are for us today?" If so, I can't know for sure. But I think the Garden of Eden must have been beautiful. Perhaps there were more colors, or at least more vibrant colors. That is my imaginative side. Physically, I think all are in agreement that the color spectrum exists by the way light waves appear. Those colors are limited in general, but enormously varied when you consider the many shades that can occur with each color.
