Like Colleen said, it really does depend on what’s available in your area. However, it also depends on what kind of system you’d like to install and whether or not you’d like to go on a plan. If you want to go on a plan, most companies charge an installation fee (prices vary and usually start around $100.00). Their average monthly plan is about $40.00 plus/month.

If you’re like me and you don’t like monthly payments, you can always try installing your own system. The average cost for that is about $600.00. Possibly more depending on what you want to install and what features you’d like to have, but you only need to make the initial investment, and maybe pay a professional to give you hand with installation, and that’s it.

Both options are definitely worth looking into!
