I still believe that the pharmaceutical companies are controlling 'some diseases', I don't know about cancer but I would think they have a big hand in cold medicines.  That's one of their biggest if not the biggest profit making 'no-cure' they got going.   Also, the medical field in general.  Fortunes are made by doctors and drug companies.

As a cancer survivor, I hope that someday the big C takes a dive.  There are so many strains though

Quantum Theory  mechanics kinda blow Einstein theory out of the water.  In theory, through Quantum Mechanics faster than light is possible. But quite far fetched as the target device must be there before the travel begins, so how do we place the target device billions of light years away so we may test this theory?? 

Radio waves are created by a transmitter,  the transmitter creates the energy to 'push' the wave (RF signal) through a carrier - Within the carrier is modulation. (Music/Voice/data)  Similar to a garden hose.  Water pressure pushes the water through a hose.  Where the hose is the carrier, water is the signal modulation..

An RF signal (Radio Frequency)  wave needs to also have a receiving station.  Your radio.  The receiving station must be tuned to the exact frequency as the transmitter.  

The transmitter has a set 'wattage', watts is the pressure! The more pressure, the further the signal will go.

This brings us to 'wavelength'.  The antenna of the transmitter must match the wavelength of the receiver.  Sometimes the actual wave is very large so the receiving antenna to be perfect  must be the same size, this is impossible in most applications so they cut the antenna to half, quarter or eighth wave.

I am a conservative, I'm sure regulars here know that but I will not take sides with the anti-muslim side.   I am not totally sure of my thoughts but it does seem to me that there are many good Muslims in the world that are scared to death of the radicals that use their faith to push their ideology and agenda.  Most good Muslims will not speak up  in fear of rejection and danger to themselves or family.  A fear factor that has genuine facts supporting it.  The radicals will kill anyone that defies them.   Including Muslims

I believe this war against Islamic terrorist is in name only. A terrorist is a terrorist, regardless what name you give them.   But, in fact, These people are radical Islamic and you just cant ignore this fact. 

I think that first the Muslim world needs to come together and stand up to them, the USA and it's allies I am sure will stand with them once they show they are willing to take them on.

Don't expect any help from this administration though, our prez would rather turn a blind eye and play golf and make immature Utube videos rather than support the fight on terrorism.   His latest proposal to ask congress for 'permission' to use military force against ISIS is a joke, his stipulation is no boots on the ground.    Of course, we (USA) have been responsible for over 85% of the bombing attacks on ISIS already!  So what military action is he talking about if not boots??  This is a ploy, another  political game. Republicans want to annihilate the ISIS terror organization, Head on!  Democrats are still looking for it to go away or someone else take care of it.  This in turn will be talking point in the presidential elections when the democrats say-- "obama wanted to fight but republicans stopped him' .   and of course, the un-informed voters will hear this without knowing the facts and once again, it's the republican's fault.  Liberal Democrats are experts at the spin game and lying to get to the truth as they see it.

Pianos are made from many materials, wood, felt, brass,steel, leather, plastics and in older pianos ivory.  Glues used in olden days were made from the hoofs of horses, shellacs made from the wings of insects, tar and just about anything that would hold pieces together.

Modern pianos no longer use ivory for keys, plastics are used, also many organic compositions and synthetics that offer the feel of ivory are used.  No longer are organic glues used, now all synthetic resins.  Many composites are used, plastics, ABS etc.   Where this would be debatable, today's pianos are far superior to pianos of the past for many reasons, no breakdown of organic glues, much more precise measurements using modern computers, even the woods used are grown with special handling and seasoning is controlled by %humidity also computer controlled.  Modern robotics never fail and make a mistake, they don't come to work with a hangover and they are programmed to do the same job precisely without fail.  

There are some manufacturers that still build the traditional ways, their heritage is on the line, not the quality.  People will purchase a pianos based on its heritage of traditional piano building, the problem is, it is illegal to build pianos using the materials and glues of olden times.  so, they are really no better than those made mostly by machines, actually they aren't as good. But nonetheless, people buy history in names.
