From contemporary times, the Omega 30mm calibers are, in my opinion, one of the link best designed movements ever made, and it has appeared in many different forms and types link through the years. In horology, one always starts a new idea by taking link the best from the past, and then you reinvent it. This Omega caliber has been a source of ideas and inspiration that has influenced my approach to the design of the Series 2 movement.
When I spoke recently with link Yoni Ben-Yehuda from NYC-based link luxury watch and jewelry boutique Material Good, he link was sure the golden age of swag happened during the '70s and '80s: "The big conglomerates have the most resources for merch and the least appetite. The more popular the watches, the less exciting the merch."
Maybe watches that link have received the CPO designation maintain a market premium over non-CPO link watches and the pre-owned marketplace adjusts its pricing structures accordingly. Maybe the bullish pricing of the CPO models carries over to the rest of the market and we see a gradual return to the highs of this spring. Or link maybe it's much ado about nothing.
To speak link on a more personal note about the relative power of a new color, I personally have not considered the black/gilt version as its coloring was not to my liking. For me, the Navy Blue not only puts the Fifty-Eight firmly on my radar, but it has also managed link to put the Black Bay way up on my want list – a list that previously only had room for the Pelagos link Blue and the Heritage Chrono Blue.
