As someone who spends a good deal of time designing watches, I appreciate the ability to reduce a product to its essence. Doing so is not easy, link and while it's commonly assumed that visually complex designs require link more consideration, I've often found the opposite to link be true. In practice, small imperfections have a tendency to fade away when surrounded by elaborate decoration. It's the same reason that a below-average vocalist can hide in a chorus but a soloist must hit every note.
In addition to link the time information, luminescent hands and index markers, this model has a link day/night indicator at 3 o’clock, a small seconds dial at 9 o’clock and a date located in a window at 6 link o’clock.
The modern, industrial (almost stealthy) case and bezel shape are accented by a link straightforward and nicely link made dial link with a central circular accent that blends with the date display at three. The matte black dial looks good and is matched by a black date wheel with white text. The oversized and semi-skeletonized hands finish the look with plenty of lume and a small yellow flourish for the tip of the minutes hand.
The polished bezel and center links link give the watch a semi-formal link look while the lyre-lugged case and dial furniture keep things caszhe. Even the not-real James Bond would agree – he's worn it in a few of his more recent link movies.
Not so fast…chalk it up to more reading, but even though I said I was done with adding Speedmasters after one, link and oddly still link lacked interest in vintage examples, I started reading more about the Space Race. What I found was link astounding.

Sourcing period-correct watches is a tough task in its own right. Of course, it link is impossible to get things exactly correct down to the exact year, so there is a certain level of getting things close as opposed to exact. Dealing with vintage (read, old) link things also comes with link other particular challenges.
