I have a pain on the right side of my neck from about mid-jaw to below jaw. I have small puss ulcers in the back of my mouth. What could this be?

it'a nothing to mess with . Get serious and go to a dentist. They are like M.Ds and are trained about diseases on the inside of the mouth. Maybe the two conditions you have are related . Maybe the outside one has something to to with your lymph nodes that can be serious. The ulcer like thing sound like a canker sore, except they don't usually ooze pus. What ever it is, it's infected. You need to get on antibiotics.Did you know that if you have an infection that isn't treated, it can go into your system and maybe kill you ?! The medical term for that is sepsis.The comman name for that is blood poisoning.

Thank you very much. I've made an appointment for next Tues. It's my 82 year old Dad and He's beginning to slur words. Coughs a lot, Your advice has confirmed my thoughts and actions.

Abcess infections. You can try soaking and softly brushing the area with Hydrogen Peroxide diluted with water several times per day. DO NOT SWALLOW IT.

Please go to a dentist asap sounds like you have a major infection going on ulcers with pus seeping from them you need help and some antibiotics and it is going to get worse if you do nothing
