Flowers were always collected from hospital at night because it was believed they depleted the air of oxygen - they also take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen took a long time before this was realised.

Trees also put out co2 at night so what are you going to do? All the swamps and nature put far more co2 out than measly humans.

Eggplant, I don't think trees and swamps use fossil fuels.
I am wanting to compensate for these that I have used in my lifetime.
Good answer Umbriel. Ok assuming I am not Al Gore just an average Brit, 10,000 km/yr car, two flights/ year, fairly green-living.
Assume planting native broadleaves for future generations to harvest, how many trees would you think?
Shellfish an interesting idea, but impractical unless I buy an island somewhere. Like I sald, impractical.
