This is the part I though was most interesting:
1.
I challenged him to take just 10 of the authors, all from one walk of life, one generation, one place, one time, one mood, one continent, one language and just one controversial subject (the Bible speaks on hundreds with harmony and agreement).
Then I asked him: "Would they (the authors) agree?" He paused and then replied, "No!" "What would you have?" I retorted. Immediately he said, "A conglomeration."
Two days later he committed his life to Christ (the theme of the Bible).
Why all this? Very simple! Any person sincerely seeking truth would at least consider a book with the above unique qualifications.

God sent His Son Jesus. He walked this Earth and showed nothing but love. He went to the cross for all. Even those who nailed Him to the cross was loved by Him. 'Father forgive them, they no not what they do'. Such love. Show us the hate in Him.
The hate is not from the Bible. If hate comes through it comes from the sinful nature of man. I know we all like to make a point on both sides but There is so much anger towards the Bible. If the non belivers on here dont believe the Bible then give the proof that it is false.

It was given through spiritually perfected men, as a guide to the Inward journey, that we might discover and know True Love Consciousness, the Christ or Christos. You created that falsehood in your own mind to explain why I do not believe in this instrument of death, hate and bigotry. I will never conform to the idea that God is a vengeful God and would shun or exile out of his kingdom anyone who does not accept Jesus as their savior. I am not troubled because I have not been blinded by the false words in the bible that created a false god so as to take attention away from the real God. The God of love and mercy. The IT that just is, that is only love WITHOUT conditions. No demands to accept, it simply loves for that's all it can do. Love is all it is.

Where did all the information regards who wrote the bible and their occupations come from.
Blind faith and belief, if it is in the bible who wrote it?
What evidence is there that the entrys are correct?
You mention the Univesity of Egypt, I don`t believ Egypt had a university in Moses` time. Do you?
Let`s agree to disagree, no one will rver convince Christian bigots that they are living in hope without any evidence the book they follow has any substance except, I hear from a man who told by a friend who heard it from blah blah.
I agree the bible has some extremely good guide lines for life but the word of some supreme being, can`t come at that one.
If religions are so wonderful why do millions of people suffer whilst millions of dollars is spent on building to some unproven diety.
The proof that people are starving is well documented, the need to spend millions on flashy buildings is not my idea of a loving god.
Show me where it is written 'Lord God said go thee and build massive temples to my glory whilst you allow millions to starve and die, so said the Lord"

Universities of Egypt were not what you may think of as a University, but just a learning center.
However you made some good points Jesus while here on earth set an example for us and he met with people in homes as well as churches.
It's necessary to have buildings that can handle large numbers of people and have room to do other ministries, but as you stated some go way overboard for show and comfort for a few and not for the mass.
But I think you haft to confess the church as a whole has done more for the poor than anyone, my church just delivered fruit baskets and cookies to the older people from our little church.
We give to the needy of our community and I hope we can do more, when someone is needy traveling through we help.
You need to learn more about the Bible before you find fault.
If you are ever in real need go to a church and ask, I'll bet you will get some help.
It was this that led me to my current non believing.
No one could then or since told me anything to change my mind, "You must trust God" Believe in Him all this without any evidence to prove the claims except controversal stories.
Where is the "info is all part of history" written outside the bible.
Look Randy do not get me wrong I totaly agree with your caring attitude and I commend you for that. My problem is believing in some diety that allows people to on one hand "Glorify his name" whilst others of his so called creation suffer.
You say your church helps the elderly of the congregation, what about those who are not of your faith?
I believe mankind has used and will continue to use the so called god to control the human race until like the many ancient religions it is replaced with another.
I feel this is true of all religions today, yesterday and tomorrow, well intentioned but like communism it doesn`t work long term.
I would like to hear what the atheist have to say? Any takers.
