      pivot transfer works best to get patient to the chair. Use a transfer belt and probably two people to help would work best. Physio therapists have many ways to ambulate patients, use a sit to stand lift, or a walker that supports the weight of the patient with a sling. The therapists will physically move the legs of the patient (usually takes 3 people) to get the patient ambulating.
