They say Americans don't have passports because the don't think they need them, they reckon only 40% of Americans have a passport..so Qantas is offering to take the price of a passport off their fare to fly to Australia..i guess it must be true because Qantas is gonna throw money at it..and they did not get rich making dumb decisions..what say the USA..?????? Every body i know has a passport ( i only know two), all i know is you have to see the countries outside of your own to really appreciate it, i believe OZ is the place to live, Adelaide is the capital of South Australia which was voted the safest city in the world, by some international crowd, so America come on down, apply for a passport now, don't forget the VISA..

@MCM....You've mentioned numerous times that you've been to Canada. No passport? You wouldn't be allowed in! Canadians and Americans each need a passport for entry into the other country.

Flying makes me nervous. I would prefer to travel on a cruise liner.

@CB....Do you know that cruise liners have an extremely high crime rate? Often, the crimes are not even prosecutable by law as they are in international waters and no one will take responsibility. (So they say on Dateline and 48 Hours anyway.) :)

I didn't know about the high crime rate, but I still want to go on a cruise if ever the opportunity presents itself.
