My mom doesn't even want a cell phone. Are you keeping up with technology or is there a point where you say "No More"?

You must come up with a better explanation of what 'recline' really means. :)

    Indeed!

I have a cell phone. My laptop is dusty.

Interaction with family and friends is more important.

A friend who uses calligraphy has put a letter in the mail to me.

I'm not missing out on anything.

The longer I live, the more I'm breaking down and embracing technology. At least some. I purchased an iPad and it's so much fun and will keep me learning for time unknown. With it I found a dear friend I lost touch with some twenty years ago. It explained clear as day the correct way to make caramel. It connects to public television.  It even formats letters for me. Can't understand why I waited so long! All this time I thought my cell phone was enough! Embrace the changing would before you become too far behind....

I'm very far behind. I have a laptop and a......landline, no cell phone of any kind! Oh, and I also have a flat screen TV. Does that count?

A cell phone comes in handy, but with no landline, I've turned it into a monster.

I'm pretty sure that if I got a smart phone, I would also turn it into a monster who might take control of my life. :)

The Company I work for now require you to have easy access to the internet because ALL of their business is handled online, I like things done online but I'm struggling to adjust (to this EVERYTHING SH17), I suppose I might eventually get used to it.

You will get used to it. Think back to when you first got a computer and how difficult that was.

You got this, ROMOS; YOU ARE KOTF

Yeah, kicking and screaming,i believe technology will be the downfall of man eventually,,most of it is actually very good,,but the actual end of it is not good in my opinion,so i believe the beginning of the digital world has taken the world by storm, and the world has sped up at a great speed, the last 50 years of technology have gone faster than any other 50 years ..and the good and the bad will become unbalanced..just my opinion guys.feel free to disagree..>>>>>>><<<<<<<..

terryfossil 1, I tend to agree with your statement. it's kind of a scary thought how much we are hooked up to technology. about 2 years ago in silicon somebody did something to one of the grids, and a bunch of lights went out. they put out a 50,000 reward for any information regarding who was fooling around near or with the grid. I have not heard anything since. don't know if they ever found anything and/or anybody.

I have a basic cell phone where I can make calls and text. No internet and I like it that way. I use an IPad for Internet when I am at home in the evening. Other than that I am outside enjoying the company of people - face to face. You know the old fashioned way of communicating.

I don't have a smart phone, b/c it costs too much and the monthly fees are too much and it wouldn't fit in my purse. I have a standard cell ph. The monthly fee is $ 28.  .I don't have a laptop or a tablet, or an I pad or an I pod . They're too expensive . I'm the only one around here to pay my bills.

I'm thinking your phone must be a darn bit smarter than your good self Juliana, you are connected to a lot more than you think.
You've been taking the pi$$ out of all of us for years.
