    'Duel' film, Steven Spielberg 1971

I saw this film again recently having seen it first about 30 years ago. It occurred to me that it could not be made again today- anyone know why?

I meant why could the film not be made today using new actors.

Because there'd be no need to stop to make a phone call at a pay phone when everyone owns a blackberry or a lousy i-phone.

Correct answer digger. We forget how the cellphone has changed peoples' lives. Not mine, however, as I keep one for emergencies only.

Maybe they cannot find another 1960 Peterbilt 281 tugging a 1948 Tanker Trailer around,,but then i reckon they would use a B-Double in this day and age..>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..""

I have this on DVD,  I think they would really screw it up if they tried to redo it. To much hype or drama and of course there would be a sex seen, lots of swear words. If I remember they ued 3 Peterbilts in the film.
