In the process of deleting a few disgusting answers from a previous member named Umbriel (permanently suspended long ago), some kind of glitch occurred. We now have hundreds of questions which he apparently answered and which have now re-appeared.
For those who enjoy answering old questions, it looks as though there is lots to do. Go ahead and answer them if you wish. Have fun!

In 1959 Longines introduced link the Super Compressor Diver ref. 7042. Like other dive watches of the era from brands like Universal Geneve Jaeger-LeCoultre and too many others that were lost to link the sands of time it used a "super compressor" case from Ervin Piquerez S.A. EPSA. The case is defined by its internal rotating bezel and dual link crowns but it was actually patented because of its waterproofing tech which further sealed the caseback as water pressure increased.
