I awoke to the news when my clock radio alarm went off at 5 A.M..At the time our daughter was in America & was supposed to be spending the weekend in New York. The trip was cancelled (Thank God!).We spent the next 12 hours trying to get through to her on the phone. The lines were jammed. She finally got through to us at about 6 P.M.We both cried with relief.Just one of the lucky breaks in our life that we will be eternally thankful for.

The relief! I feel like crying now myself.......

I was at work. One of my co-worker's sister worked in the First Precinct in Manhattan and was on the phone with him. She said a plane had just hit the Trade Center. I said "How can that be..so much room up there and a gorgeous day." Then I said, "Wait a minute. If that happened, there's sure to be fire, and if fire, then smoke." I went to the window where we had a great view of the Trade Center, and sure enough, Tower One was on fire. A co-worker of mine was standing next to me. Her son was on the 103rd floor; worked for Cantor Fitzgerald. They never found his remains and she never came back to work. In fact, she moved from NY to Connecticut, hoping to escape the memories. There are morons who are adamant that there were no victims. What happened to the 2,800+ that were unaccounted for? What about telling my co-worker that she never gave birth to a son? Sorry to digress, but it just makes me so mad! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPHnadJ-0hE

I can understand your anger mate.It must have been horrifying to be in NY on that day.
I can still hear the news reader's voice on that morning."Good morning,It's 5 A.M. and America is in turmoil".

I'll dream of your story tonight, very moving and haunting. I've yet to hear it rumored that the whole thing was a hoax, I can't believe anybody actually believes so......

In the pub, watching events unfold on TV.

    Unforgettable!

It was about 3pm here,  I was at work. One of my sons  called me to say what he was watching  on the news, I couldn't believe it at first. Very sad and unforgettable times.

I had just got out of bed and turned the tv on to watch sunrise,,i seen a plane fly into a building and thought they had put a movie on instead,so i went to channel 10 and seen the same plane fly into a building,i read the script at the bottom then called Venny..>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..

Are things getting better? Little yes, mostly no. In my opinion.

    And the question IS??

I was at home sicker than a dog and my mother called me and she was freaking out so I turned on the tv and it was on every channel... it just made me feel sicker.... I turned off the set and went outside .... it was super quiet because air traffic was shut down ... every once in a while forces jets in formation would blast by... it was surreal like that for 5 days .... so quiet.
