No. I prefer to live in reality....except when I'm here.        :)

Why, this is a virtual think tank!

    Virtually, NO!

Knowledge 4u2 - I agree with you regarding travel and getting to know other cultures, beliefs etc.  It is important when speaking of travel that time is spent amongst, observing these cultures and the beauty of this world - not just going for a visit i.e. holidays - I can see you have spent time with this. That said many people just drive through life without looking/seeing from side to side. Seeing death and illness has an enormous influence on us puts our lifes into perspective somewhat - also helps to develop our emotions - empathy, sympathy, and compassion in those who are sensitive and receptive. I have been present when a lady had a "near death" experience.

This world virtual can mean anything - it is also bandied about so much - does anyone know it's meaning when applied to the real world ? In a deeper way - if that means anything. Is it pretend or real? Oh yes and if there is a God he will know for sure ?

First I've to introduce me shortly. I'm a man of 49 years young, live in West - Europe Belgium in the fantastic city off Antwerp - Central. My native language is Dutch. I've have travelled for many times and have been on all the continents, exept Antartica. I had the  privilege to meet many diffrent races, cultures, persons with a status and ordinary citizens, where I've gattered the most vital and essential questions, yet more, then answers, for mankind and everything wich is keeping us as creations alive, strong, better, self knowledge, insights around yourself and your fellow man, love, hope, faith but last and not least, pain, grief and labile emotions but also biological disorders and mental illness. By making travel, it's just like walking by a constructive very long, difficult and sometimes incredible beautiful spider web of roads and other accessible places. Studies have shown, people who travel a lot, are automatically creating in theire brains, a better insight, a better understanding of ourselves, our fellow man and in general our existence on this planet and how to deal with it.So, this was a short, but important introduction on above question..

I read 2 questions. The first one looks to me not so hard to answer.

Because I run into every day with billions of others, with the existence of the Virtual World, and ( who shall tell ) worse/better she is in her current existence, to stay. Imagine she would completely fall away - and try looking into your own heart - without her we are Anno 2014 more than helpless being, who probably would become extinct. I certainly believe by this interpretation in the Virtual World. Further V.W. called.

But - and there are always buts - when I try to interpretate the first question, as an essential and vital part of our lives, I can't ignore that I believe in V.W. , but not in such a way, as we needed of the most important element to stay alive. This looks like a contracdictie in what I previously mentioned, but is certainly not the case, rather a paradoxical data. I will explain this at a later time, because I've to do other things in life, than writing my humble opinion only. Warm and friendly greetings, Knowledge4u2

Yes, I believe in the virtual world in the sense that it is a man made object just like a table or any other physical creation, but to consider it in any sense as an alternate reality is nothing more than a philosophical exercise and in my opinion. A brain game.
