    Your 15 minutes of fame

What do you want to earn it?  Have you already had it?  Why?  When?
         Lottery winner?
         Nobel Prize?
         Publish something?
         Pose for a calendar?

I'd love to win an Oscar for best actress or best supporting actress; failing that, being a successful author would a dream come true.
A friend and I are talking about an invention, which, if it works, will revolutionize something that is near and dear to everyone; if that were successful, that could end up being my 15 minutes....

To play my clarinet in a big concert, I play with other local musicians but nothing big. Maybe one day ,if it's not too late.

    Never too late mate!

Dennis suggested that we could team up, and go busking, he plays the triangle apparently. Bob was up for joining us as well. There's an idea, you bring your drums along, we could make a good band Roy, well we could make a racket.

Funny old trio we'd make for sure.

To play the drums alongside John Bonham, I keep that one in my heart.

    And in my mind.

My brother got to be his bodyguard once ... he was ecstatic as he stood just out of sight behind the kit ... lucky dawg!!!!!!

I think I would love to be on the game show Jeopardy, and would know every answer to all the questions. I would be the highest game show winner. That would be a dream because I have trouble understanding some of the questions!

:D Me, too. Do you ever keep track of the plus and minus you would get if you were answering the questions? Have you thought about applying? If math is a topic, you would breeze through every one of those questions.

    I haven’t found it yet……..

Being nominated by a former student for Golden Apple award.  She was a girl who struggled with her schoolwork, but was not a quitter, and I did go the extra mile for her.  She was a special young woman, who graduated and went on to succeed in community college.

I hope your invention gets to market. (Don't forget a patent.) I'll be happy to say, "I knew her when".         :)

The cause and effects of actions that make since at the time can produce fame or infamy as reliably as a lottary ticket. Doctor Mud made the reasonable choice to attend to the injuries of a man who showed up at his office with a broken ankle. John Wilks Booth was completly unknown to the doctor who was nearly hanged for his service proformed without knowledge of Booth's actions.

I invented a way to advance electronic switching speed and this invention brought a nomination for Nobel Prize in Physics. The company I worked for at the time (AT&T M) had another employee apply for the patent and claim the prize. I complained to the Patent Office and the results distroyed the monopoly status of the business. I got nothing but threats against my life, so came to California. I was so dispised I could no longer get any job. So appealed for Government support and have been supported there after. It was more complicated and involved many people and government agencies in all that. Very ugly situation.

Since then I have had the opportunity to look deeply into events of some interest to understand what truely happened and why. Fame is useless to me in this study because a study amid constant distraction is so much more difficult.

Thank you for your response, robertgrist. What a horrible experience. If you are comfortable and content, which it seems you are, you are better off than most.

Thanks Bob, Considering that and what I have done since then ... I'm doing pretty well, maybe better than if my life had gone more smoothly. It really is amazing what I have done since then (1970's). Living 40 years after those days and seeing the effects is great. I thought what I was seeing was an illusion that I had made-up to feel better about what I did. So I found proofs. And verified them.

You always sound busy and as one who doesn't sweat the small stuff.
    robertgrist

A little fame, a lifetime to consider the effects.

my hour of fame, grade 7,,grand final rugby league at the cauldren (Lang park )for those that know it ,,it is the place to play rugby league in Queensland,,however we lost,,,,the grand final was between Serviceton State and Nundah somewhere around 1963..I played left wing.....aaaah  memories

....Truthfully, I try to look good for God not man.

I have had more than my share of fame as a musician ... TV .. radio ... but my best moment was in Australia ... wish I had been there!!  LoL

A friend of mine  [Jim] was travelling around Aus and he had one of my cassette albums with him. He entered my song "Blackbird Blackbird" in a radio song contest there and I came in 7th ... seventh!! The guys who came in sixth were Midnight Oil and in eighth place ACDC!!!

GREAT BOB! GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR INVENTION!  I would love to win lotto or win a noble prize for PEACE, since that's one of my passions. I would appreciate the 15 minutes of fame, but i would love the money.
