From what I can see over here, they reward them for bad behavior.  They send them home so they can terrorize the streets.  No more 'corporal punishment' (swat on the behind)  No more 500 word essays on the blackboard, no more singling them out for misconduct.  They act out, their defense is ' It's their culture'.  Teachers are afraid of them for their lives, they bring guns to school, they harass teachers and other students, they bully and they show no respect to school policies or any policy for that matter.

All in the name of PC and fear.  This is where our degenerative violence in young people starts, in the schools.  And fearful parents are afraid that if they discipline the way they were disciplined their children will be taken to a foster home and they will be jailed.   This new society doesn't know the difference between child abuse and discipline.

In fact, there isn't discipline today in schools

    What can't you find ?

The child that learns to read and write before kindergarden has advantages in their advanced position and usually excels in many subjects thereafter. I noticed that  children who were slow learners were not exposed to an early educational experience. Students who were slow and were set back a grade level were physically larger but less well adapted to their classes, curriculum and social order. They often resented their position and take out their frustrations on others as a class bully. Their lack of discipline is demonstrated in their attire, demeanor and comments to fellow students and instructors also. Their needs exceed the educational system to bring them to reasonable order without intensive counseling and therapy. The numbers of “lost children” grows every year that we waste time by not attending to these troubled children promptly.

Discipline is poorly understood throughout our culture.  Discipline is an ill defined part of our culture because its greater evolution in meaning should regard “self-discipline” in the highest regard and all other forms as antiquated. What you learn and love as your own personal expression of yourself is a discipline that you will have in your life forever.
