My favorite part is the smell of the fireworks and a hot dog with yellow mustard. (Once a year treat) Usually have a Macaroni salad too. Yum. And maybe a four layer coconut cake. Wow! this is getting better as I go along.

It was so hot and muggy that we watched the fireworks on TV. I got my hot dog and macaroni salad and would share the feast with you.

I am in the uk south west and we are having nice weather at the moment not as hot as you, but long over due sunshine xx

Australia day,January 26th.
2 Different things Busty.ANZAC Day celebrates the Australia & New Zealand Armed Corps.& remembers those lost in World conflicts since WWI.Our mates across the ditch are good people to have on your side in a blue.

When I worked at a veterenarian clinic, it was a very popular day for boarding pets :)

I feel bad for my cats. One of them won't come in.She's too scared. Been out there since about 6:30pm.Now, it's 11pm. Loud , bomb like fireworks......the kind that go up in the air. I also feel sorry for dogs, birds, little kids and babies, b/c they don't know what's going on .

Oh J, My cat, Peeve, had a terrible time. We had guests with children. She HATES children -- so afraid. Anyway, after things calmed down I looked
at her and thought she was deceased.

When our other dog was still alive, he would sit on the porch and cry at the noise! We always let him in the house and turned the volume up on TV to help sooth him! Animals suffer very much at this time of year!
