Oh no busieone, I've been singing it for years...and years and years... :)

Canada day,I was up there for Canada day (1995),and they tossed me in jail for three days, until the USA came and got me out, funny thing is when the US got me out, they let me go.And it was not for being drunk, seeing that I don't drink.Funny place, the jail they took me to was a old Best West motel with barbwire around it,I had fun tho trying to figure out what all these people from other country's were saying. When they deported me they told me I could come back if I payed a fee of $600,I told them I would not give them even six pennies to come back, they did not see  the funny in that...

That's what we do to all visiting Yanks. Throw them in jail first and ask questions later. We just figure that if you're American, you MUST be guilty of SOMETHING.

Sure would like to see where there is a motel that had been turned in to a jail! LOL!!! Sounds like a movie from the 1870's!

That's ok digger, like I said I had fun with all the different people, only one other "yank" in the bunch and he was not all there, wanted little ole me too protect him from the guards who were trying to kill him by putting something in his food, that guy made me laugh the whole time I was there. My wife had to get a room for three days at double the rate because it was """Canada Day""".Nice room tho,she took picture's :)

That's it digger. Help with the "perception". Don't forget to say that our jails are way out in the boonies and the nearest human is more than 4800 miles away with only one city called Toronto and...there is no television and only outdoor plumbing and we wear parkas and boots, year round! :)

Ducky, right on the border baby, still got the paperwork, when they ran my record, the the paper from the machine hit the floor (still got that too),not proud of what I did in my youth, but I do own up to it and that was so many years ago I just do not care what anyone thinks, plus I turned my life around 1,000 fold. :)

Note: The first time I went to Canada, was in 1986, entering Toronto. My wonderful husband and his wonderful brother had smoked pot in our van, and there was a roach on the floor, which the border police found in their very thorough search. We were put in separate "areas", and two female police suggested I needed to remove all my clothing for a strip search. I refused to remove all my clothing, and when they were satisfied that the 7 month pregnant woman standing in her underwear wasn't kidding, they let me get dressed and wait for the idiot. Our visit went without further incident.

    HAPPY DAY, CANUCKS!

I'm surprised that you could just refuse to do something when requested by border patrol and they said ok. We do not allow drugs nor guns, nor large quantities of tobacco and alcohol (for resale) into Canada. However, the U.S. border patrol is equally vigilant towards Canadians. As far as the fact that you were "very pregnant", you would be surprised at the "type of person" who tries to break the law at the border...pregnant, very young children (thanks to parents), elderly etc. Shocking! Many people come to Canada with no problem whatsoever but just as those Canadians entering the U.S. and having a problem, we only hear about the arrests, rude officers, etc. Come back again, eh???

It's too bad our southern borders aren't as well patrolled.....

Yes, I see it on the news. Very different from the northern border!
    Bob/PKB

I've been through both borders and there is no comparison...........

    Here's how Canadians spell Canada................  " C, eh? N ,eh?,  D,eh ? "

    LOL.good one. (EH!)
