    what is the appropriate guide word for nominal?

    The definition of a guide word is a word printed at the top of a page indicating the first or last word entry on that page. 


    Based on this, I guess you can open a dictionary and look up nominal then see what word starts the page nominal is on. My best guess since I do not fully understand what you mean by the question.
