I want to make paper for greeting cards out of old linen sheets. How?

Many years ago I had a paper making recipe.  It called for linen, cotton, or silk rags, which were cooked--boiled in a pot--until . . . Something(s) probably were added to this "rag soup."  I was to follow instructions, which called for a strainer.  I'm thinking, a frame around a wire (non-rust, probably copper wire screen).  I visualized a cooked "rag mush", grits-like consistency.   Something like this.  Please help.  Jill and I want to make paper!  Thanks.
