    One pound of butter lumpish-ness is $3.99 to $4.99 on sale and depending on quality way up here in the Great White North.

    Ducky - last night when I came off the site I was atrial fibrillation again - OH Boy just feel so very awful - Told Fishlet and itsmee about it should have gone to hospital - but just hate them awaiting the operation and perhaps this will help and stop this as you just feel like you are dying they always want to admit. Happens more often that I care to know do not check the pulse but oh my feel literally that I am dying have to lie down realize I should just do a little at a time here at present. xo

    Oh no Poppy, that is not good. You had better take it easy. It must be an awful feeling. Is there anything that you can do to prevent it from happening?

    Ducky - thankyou - I take tablets to avoid it but because it Paroxysmal Atrial fibrillation meaning it comes and goes - it comes and goes - as opposed to just atrial fibrillation. The tablets though are giving me a lot of side effects too - called iatrogenic - cannot remember how to spell it -just cannot win which is why I have opted or the surgery - perhaps will improve my quality of life but nothing is without sideeffects.

    A translation of “old-fashioned” American measurements

    Butter the size of a walnut = 2 tablespoons or a “lump”

    Butter the size of an egg = 1/4 cup

    Coffee cup = 1 cup

    Dash = 1/8 teaspoon

    http://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipe/measuring.html

    Dessert spoon = 1 1/2 teaspoons

    60 Drops = 1 teaspoon of liquid

    Gill = 1/2 cup

    Pinch = 1/16 or 1/8 teaspoon

    Salt spoon = 1/4 teaspoon

    Teacup = 3/4 cup

    Tin cup = 1 cup

    Tumblerful = 2 cups

    Wineglass = 1/2 gill or 1/4 cup

    Is a lump listed on the conversion table?
