    how to replace high beam headlight bulb in a 2004 Lincoln Town Car

    Can't figure out how to get to the back of the bulb

    Open the hood using the primary and auxiliary release latches.


    Find the back of the headlight assembly in the engine compartment.


    Remove the three retaining bolts from the back of the assembly. Then, draw the assembly away from the grille to expose the electrical connectors.


    Rotate the bulb cover counterclockwise and remove it from the assembly.


    Turn the old bulb counterclockwise and pull it out of the socket. After disposing of the old bulb, insert the new bulb into the socket and twist it clockwise until it's tight.


    Replace the bulb cover and slide the assembly back into the grille.


    Test the bulb to make sure it works. If it lights up, bolt the assembly into position and close the hood.
