      I wonder what would happen
      If diplomacy were used
      To solve a problem quickly
      So peoples rights were not abused.


      If instead of tilting windmills
      And smiling at al,
      The diplomats decided
      To be truthful after all.


      For the way that things are going,
      At least from what I see,
      The prolonging of a crisis
      Is the role of diplomacy.


      Well perhaps it’s not realistic,
      For the truth is hard to tell,
      So they have to lie a little
      And hopes it all ends well
