    Question for diabetics.

My best friend has severe itching on her lower back.....only at night. I told her I think it's a diabetic thing. A Dr. once told her she has diabetes, but she refuses to accept it.  Right before my aunt was diagnosed with diabetes, she c/o bad itching on her arms.  Question - - --do you , as a diabetic have itching ? Apparently diabetes can cause itchy skin.Take a look >>>http://www.diabetes.org/living-with-diabetes/complications/skin-complications.html

It is important your friend has a simple test for diabetes so she must visit her doctor. I am diabetic and itching is not one of my symptoms.

I've been diabetic for 35 years, my brother was diabetic for 56. Itching was never an issue until he lost his leg. I don't itch until the weather gets cold and my skin dries out.........
