Ok, you have answered my question, lets get back the sparkle this forum once had, that of course is my opinion which is worth zilch!

    Good night girls.

Sparkly and clean and clear of racist and prejudiced comments is worth a lot more than the way you would have this forum (attack anyone at will just because you have issues with people who are not like you). This makes the forum safe for all to use, not just for the "superior white straight men".
    bulletman

Careful Colleen, do i detect a little prejudice there.:)

Careful bulletman, you're pushing it. Arguing with a moderator when they are acting as a moderator, trying to cast judgment on a moderator is against the rules also. If you have an issue with the way akaQA is run, then you can address the issue with the admin via the contact link at the bottom of this page. The admin are at this minute aware of this thread.

Bulletman;  There have been women suspended from this site as well.  Check out coolandy2000.  That lady was a barrel of laughs.

I happen to know that one male member was suspended because of bullying, abusive language and name calling.  Do you want someone like that back on akaQA?  I certainly don't.  He was not sparkly at all.  Unless of course you would like to have cyber conversations about conspiracy theories, the end of days, white body bags stacked to the ceilings in warehouses across North America, toe tags and Fema Camps... Go ahead and ask that 'breath of fresh air' back.

I also seem to remember not long ago a male member being suspended who had more than one account and more than one name... no one liked that guy.  If he is permitted back I am sure a lot of akaQA members would quit, both male and female.  Gender does not matter "WE" didn't like him.  He was a trouble maker, he argued with anyone and everyone,  he turned people's words against them, he argued without knowing facts and he was fond of calling women insulting names.  'Freedom of Speech' was fun for everyone when this guy was around.  Let's just ask the pathological liar back and see what persona he has invented for himself this week.

I saw the question that got you booted out of here.  I didn't answer it because I am tired ... so monumentally tired of racism, religious intolerance and bigotry.

I, for one, would like to move on now.  Sparkle and Shine.

So don, you agree with the bulletman, do you? I'm always curious to note which of the men on the forum seem to agree amongst themselves. I think that group is usually called "the good ol' boys"? Kind of old-fashioned thinking these days.

I'm quoting YOU..."Save the bulletman"! Sounds to me like you are most definitely taking sides. No the forum is NOT "split", not at all. I actually adore many of the men on this forum and have great fun reading their answers and even debating at times...only a very few of the men here are a problem to me personally. They are chauvinistic, plain and simple and it shows through. The created dramas (by both males and females) are also a pain!

There will be no "good ol boys club" on akaQA. Prejudice and Racism will not be tolerated. If the good ol boys can not handle that, there are millions of other forums on the internet. They can find one that accepts that low life behavior. All people no matter their race, religion, sex, sexuality are welcome here and should feel just as safe here as anyone else. Don, you really need to stay out of these things. You are all about getting drama going and have always been like that. Enough is enough. akaQA is a help site, not a drama show for Dondowningjr.

I do know we have males in administration and they do frequent the site. They are fully aware what goes on here as they answer questions and are in contact with the moderators at all times.

    Thanks Pyth.

    Hmmm....let's see

    Pythonlover-female

    Ducky-female

No invisible male moderators floating around the forum...and if there were a male moderator he would enforce the forum rules in the exact same manner as the mods we have now. There is no need for a fourth moderator as our mods do an excellent job for us.

    bulletman

As long as you are a female.
    Dardaigh

You don't seem to get it...moderators don't run around the board doing things willy-nilly. The Administrators set the policies for the site and the mods comply and enforce the rules. Not the other way around.

Yes, the rules have changed here over time but there should be no problem adhering to a code for zero tolerance on sex,racism,bigotry...if someone does have a problem, then there's the door and don't let it hit you on the way out.
    bulletman

There you go again, Dardaigh showing me the door, it was ok to slag off at the President of United States which i noticed happened a few times but that was ok because you agreed with it.
    Dardaigh

    Are you serious?

Political opinions are still allowed you know...just don't make it racist.
    west-bus

Hi Dardaigh, forgive me but I cannot find any rules anywhere on this site, or am I blind ? Surely it would be a help to all if they knew what was and, more importantly, was not allowed. Admin please note!

west-bus...Moderators enforce rules as per the owners/managers of this site. We do not change the format, install new features, etc. If you wish to see the rules posted, so you can abide by them without confusion, why don't you use "contact" at the bottom of the page. That's simple enough, isn't it? Just explain to them, that after being here for 15 months, you're still not clear about the rules and that the female moderators are picking on you.
    west-bus

Oh Ducky, you are so predictable, what's got into you ? Please stop making allegations that are without foundation. I have never complained to anyone about moderators picking on me so unless you can show to the contrary please be silent. As regards the Rules that govern this site I did in fact use the contact link to Admin. this morning for clarification and therefore until I receive a communication I will make no further comment on the matter.
    Dardaigh

P.s. This is just a side-comment, apropos of nothing maybe but...the people who are at the site the most, seem to be the ones who have the easiest time transitioning with changes that occur here...the ones that pop in and out sporadically appear to be the ones who resent any kind of changes the most.
It could possibly be that if you are here regularly, you see the updates that are posted on the forum by Colleen, alerting members to things that have changed, so it no a big deal to go with these changes which have been instituted...for the benefit of ALL members.

@west-bus...You have just proven my point. My comments were based on the fact that you sound as though you are whining about not knowing the forum rules. I suggested a solution to your complaint. The original question is in regard to the gender of the moderators and you started your comeback to a female moderator with condescending statements and I quote..."Oh Ducky, you are so predictable, what's got into you"? Complain to admin if you have a problem with what you apparently perceive as a new attitude on my part!

West-bus, do not ever tell a moderator to be silent. Ducky is a moderator doing her job. If you do not like what she has to say, do not involve yourself in topics concerning moderators or the fact that they carry out the wishes of the admin to enforce rules that the admin have chosen for their own reasons not to post to the forum. We the moderators ARE their posted rules. We will let you know when you break a rule. It's up to you at that point to adhere to what you've been told or to persistently go against what you've been told and find yourself suspended. **(I use you and your in a general sense, I am not directing my words solely at you but to all who are reading this thread). The rules on this forum are common sense rules and being that they are common sense rules, there really is no reason to post them. As simply as this, "adults should know better".

What difference does it make?  I don't agree with everything that is said and done all the time, but there is nothing so disagreeable to me that makes me want to stir the pot.  When I don't like a question, answer, or comment, I "Report abuse". Sometimes "whoever" responds to me favorable and I appreciate it.  Sometimes I don't get any response to my report and figure it was read, considered, and "overruled".

Why do I get the feeling you are trying to work the discrimination angle? Which is actually kinda funny and you know what I mean. The administrating staff of akaQA outside of the moderators is all male. As Python says, some of them even frequent this forum and answer questions. They know everything that goes on and any time a moderator does something here, the admin get a report. The moderators are here to enforce the rules set down by the owners of the site (also all male). Any issues can be addressed to the admin.

Actually i was not thinking that at all but you brought it up, unfortunately this forum has become a non freedom of speech and it is a pity because it was so good, i will get a another 404 for saying the truth, i will end up with the other guys, what is it 7 that have been barred, i don't appreciate being black mailed. As ducky says toe the line or you are out-- what line and who's line. i would like to see other reg's say something but they are scared they might not be toeing the line and get ousted, i'm not trying to be hard to get on with, but at the present time it is a little one sided.

"Actually i was not thinking that at all but you brought it up"
Why do I not believe you? You've been trying since you came off suspension to cause a problem here.

This forum had to tighten it's rules on freedom of speech. Too many have crossed lines here and posted insulting, racist, prejudiced and sexual comments. There have been complaints from the advertisers concerning these types of postings. The admin will fall to the wishes of the advertisers every time. They keep this forum, this help site free to use. No one has to pay to get an answer here. Take the advertisers away and there would need to be a fee for people to use the site. No one is blackmailing you. Follow the rules and you will have no problems here. Do not post questions designed to make fun of a group of people, to cause harm or hurt feeling and your questions will remain. Do not open questions just to cause drama as they will be removed. If you have an issue with any of this, you can address your concerns with the admin, not the members of akaQA.

Anyone who is suspended from this forum have been suspended for good reason and the admin agree with the suspension. They get suspended for persistently breaking forum rules and have had many complaints filed against them by many members of akaQA. They are always given many chances by the admin to conform to the rules. When they refuse to do so, they find themselves suspended forever. Any suspension is always fully discussed between the moderators and the admin. We do work together. We have female mods and male administrators so both sexes are represented.

Who are the male moderators, colleen?
    Colleen

    Moderator
There are no male moderators. There are male admin and they prefer to remain incognito which is why they have moderators. We speak for them. They take care of other aspects of akaQA. It's been this way since the beginning. Over a year and a half later, there's no reason for you to have an issue with this except for the fact that you do not like that your prejudices and racism is being knocked down. The rules for that will not change so either conform to the rules or find a forum better suited to your needs.

Thanks , Colleen i will give it some thought.

@bulletman..."As ducky says toe the line or you are out". I need to refresh my memory. Can you please show me where I said those words so I can read the context along with YOUR words? Thanks.

It's really tough when women have authority over men, isn't it bulletman?  It happens in the work place now too....OH THOSE WOMEN BOSSES!  Well, guess what else has happened in recent times.  We can vote too!  BTW, would you feel better if you were suspended by a male?

    Who would you suggest?

    bulletman

I don't really know, someone who is completely impartial.
    Colleen

No such thing as completely impartial. Many judicial people even fail at that and they went to school to learn how to be impartial.
