Yes. Sorry, I'm not sure who Max Weber is or what he was talking about, but if that is what he said - I agree - whether seen from the beaureacrat's point of view - or the beaureacratted!

If you wish to add a thought to a thread in which you have already given an answer, you insert it with the "Comment this answer". You can't keep adding new answers. Forum rules. :)
OK, I've now looked at YOUR profile "Love Jesus" - and I have to add that, as a committed atheist, my answer was not influenced by religious views. I believe in the power and re,sponsibility of each and every one of us as individuals, I do not believe there is someone up there who may or may not (according to one's beliefs) sort things out for us......!!!??? bureacracy may have been the invention of the French, and they continue to be experts at it.... but for once (I love them dearly really!) they've got it WRONG! Time we sorted it out.
I apologise Dardaigh for "answering" rather than "commenting", but it is not always obvious how one should comment - I wanted to add to my original answer and not necessarily comment on it. I feel truly bureaucratted and I will try not to do it again
