A manhunt is underway in Australia for a killer Great White Shark.

1) Do you think there's an overreaction as some conservationists claim? 2) Does the fear of sharks keep you from swimming in "open water"? I dont understand why people go into shark infested waters.They are taking a chance. Its the sharks natural habitat and people need to learn to respect that.

Almost 11,000 miles to the west coast of Australia from TX. It's a "maneater" and since you're a female I wouldn't worry. Seriously, there are sharks in the gulf. Be careful.

"JAWS" fixed me from going too deep and yes, I know that sharks attack in shallow water...I'll just walk the beach........

Don't worry Jules, the underwater shots in 'Jaws' were taken in South Australia a long way from Texas, he will not venture far as long as he has take away ( to go ) here. lol.

I don't know how old this video is but there has been 5 shark attacks in OZ since Christmas, unusually high count, most attacks are on surfer's or divers who are well aware of the risks, most feel it is the Great White's domainand they are invading it, and the consequences that go with it. Sharks normally attack man/ woman by mistake, a surfer looking up from below looks like a turtle whislt sitting on a board and a diver a seal, as a ex diver and surfer i don't believe in the killing of sharks after an attack.

We are getting Great Whites off the beaches of Cape Cod, MA this summer, almost unheard of! so they may be lurking in places where you would not usually expect them! How does the tune for the theme music for JAWS go?

This question is 4 years old,and the sharks are still out there,and a few more people have been taken,,but it is their world and they do not particuarly like to eat us,,we simply die from the accidental bite,which is usually a bl**dy big bite..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<..
