    Hi guys, we all know how the colours of a rainbow is formed, what about the Rainbow Arch you see, it is always in the form of an Arch, Why is this so?

    The cause for the arched shape of rainbows:
    Sunlight that pass through raindrops forms rainbows in a process called refraction, which is bending of light as it passes from one medium to a different medium. The passing of sunlight through raindrop is slower than the passing of sunlight through air, and as a result, a phenomenon of bending of the light occurs (inside the raindrops), after which  the light exits the raindrops and continues moving at its previous air-moving speed. When light hits raindrop at a certain angle, the light is refracted to viewers' eyes, and they see a rainbos.
