Assuming each of your  courses had the same value in "credits", this is the procedure:
For every "A" on your report card, give yourself 4 points
For every "B" on your report card, give yourself 3 points
For every "C" on your report card, give yourself 2 points
For every "D" on your report card, give yourself 1 point
You get 0 points for "F".
Add the points.  Count the number of classes in which you received grades.  Incompletes and/or Withdrawals will not count.
Now, divide the number of points BY the number of classes.  Go two places into the decimal point (into the "hundredths" place).
    For example....I took 7 classes, earned 3 "A" grades, 2 "B" grades, 1 "C", and 1 "D".  My points would be 4 + 4 + 4 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 1, for a total of 21 points.  21 points divided by 7 classes is 3.00.   My GPA is 3.00.
To find your cumulative GPA, you would add up all the grade points from all the classes, dividing the grand total of points by the grand total of courses.
