I take an elderly woman from Palm Beach County to Broward County a couple of times a week. The total round trip is about 140 miles. Im not sure what exactly I should be charging for this trip? I've been charging .30 cents a mile but with the price of gas these days, I really feel I need to change that amount, I'm just not sure to what????

Take the 140 miles and divide it by how many miles per gallon you get, then multiply that amt by the price per gallon. If you get 20 mpg. and a gallon is $4.00, it's costing you $28 in gas alone.Dividing $28 by 140, you get $.20 per mile, so you're more than covering your expense for gas. There is, however, the so-called "wear and tear." The additional miles accumulated by doing this might also result in increased auto insurance premiums.
