On SUNRISE ( Early News Programme ) This morning Sun Arpril 29 has an item about 10 American cities that are dying, how Grand Rapids, Michigan has trying to promote itself by have almost the entire population 0f 180,000 citizens involved in a video promotion to the song of Don McLean's AMERICAN PIE, all nine minutes. i don't know who organised it, they had police, Firies, Bridal Party, College Football Players along with the Cheerleadrs, Business men, Bikies, College students, all facets that make up a city community all done continuously without editing through the entire city and surrounding gardens, every one of them singing American Pie, the lyrics are appropiate for what they want to achieve, bring life back into their city, i might be from OZ but it was a warm feeling to start the day seeing something positive done in our troubled world.

I'm sorry, i cannot get by paste and copy method, if inclined go to you tube and type in Grand Rapids and proceed to The Grand Rapids LipDub( New World Record) it will be worth it.

I'm going to look at it right now, bulletman, and I am sure I will cry. I made myself say good-bye to someone this week, accepting the death of the friendship we once enjoyed. GR can't go back to what it once was, either, nor can my hometown.....progress makes things easier for humans, but not necessarily better for humanity.
