Proud Mommy Moment!

My son is two and three quarters. Today he dressed himself for the first time. This is what he chose to wear. One green tee-shirt, one green long sleeved shirt, one blue and white striped short sleeve polo shirt ... backwards, one short sleeve ... white dress shirt, one blue "Smurf" tee-shirt, one brown tee-shirt, one blue and green striped hoodie with a zipper (zipped right up), one bright orange fleece vest (also zipped right up), a Chicago Bulls base ball cap, one pair of jeans, one pair of socks and his little Vans running shoes.

That's so cool fishy sounds like the little guy (Frankenstein) in the movie Big Daddy. As for me personally i (as well as my wife ) never had kids....but if i did i would hope they dress like me...lol

My friend always toll me " Your mama still dress you funny" It's nice to see them dress by them self. sound like your a good mommy, those day wont last very long. Take every moment preciously.

I am extremely impressed he got the zippers up! It sounds like almost a full load of laundry in one "outfit". But he was ready for any occasion! Very cute story! Thank you for sharing with us. It brings back memories. :D

Great story! Kids at that age are so adorable. No matter what he put on, its his attempt to show you that he can actually dress himself. My children used to do the same thing and it always brought a smile to my face.

That's cute Fishlet. Great that he's starting to dress himself already and not yet three.

I was babysitting my grandkids last week and my grandson had on a t-shirt that read "I'm A Big Brother". He had just gotten it and was very excited about it.

His Mum and Dad had bought a book of the same name before his little sister was born, so we had to read that at bedtime too. He didn't want to talk the t-shirt off to put on his pjs, so I let him wear it with his pajama bottoms. They should be allowed to make some decisions even when they're that little.
