
What would cause severe oil blow by from engine breathers on a detroit 8-71 diesel engine with a super charger on engine

Blowers are just that, BLOWERS. Air intake areas.
Sounds like the seals, but I'm not standing in front of the thing so I have no right to even ATTEMPT to tell you what it is.
Had two HUGE Detroit Diesel engines that kicked in for emergency power if our ship (Navy) lost its main engines. I remember replacing the blowers on that thing once or twice over 4 years. Inside they looked like mini Mazda rotary engines. Never remember oil being involved in that area.
